Preannouncement of Transnational Workshop on Transport

The Monitoring Committee of the Alpine Space Programme  has decided to set up a series of three Transnational Workshops addressing the issues of climate change and natural hazards, development of the alpine rural areas and sustainable transport development.  The aim is to analyse already achieved as well as envisaged project results, to set impulses for thematic networks, to match national and international development strategies and to identify calls for action. Two successful workshops already took place in Rosenheim in November 2004 (on Climate Change) and in Innsbruck in April 2005 (on Rural Development).

The now upcoming third transnational Workshop of this series is on the issue

“Transport in the Alpine Space Area” 

will take place on 

16/17 June 2005 in Venezia, Italy

The workshop is targeting project holders of INTERREG IIIB Alpine Space projects in particular those submitted under Priority 2, all relevant organisation dealing with the transport sector in the Alpine Space, public administrations at local, regional and national level.
